Jim Watkins is the author of 17 books and over 2,000 articles, as well as a speaker at churches, conference and colleges. Most important, the husband of one wife, two children, and five adorable grandchildren. You can find a ream of writers' resources at

Jim is the associate acquisitions editor in search of new authors at Wesleyan Publishing House,  a royalty publisher that specializes in books to help readers become more like Christ. You can read complete details of what we're looking for at .

He is looking for books that help readers grow more like Christ. He is not looking for fiction, memoir, children's or devotional books. He can also give some direction in writing for our devotional magazine, Light from the Word, which uses 250-300-word devos.

Shari Langton is the associate editor of the Bible Advocate
magazine and Now What? e-zine. The Bible Advocate is one of the oldest religious magazines still in print (1863). She has worked at the magazine for more than 25 years. She is also a freelance writer.

The Bible Advocate, hopes to have a new editor in place mid-2015, so specific criteria may change, but they are a Bible teaching magazine. Sherri advises writers to read the magazine before submitting. You can check the writer’s guidelines for online submissions at .

Now What? is always looking for personal experiences that depict a problem or crisis that either led the person to Christ or deepened his/her faith in God. They have had many stories about miscarriages, so she suggests staying away from that subject.

Rowena Kuo has a heart for unpublished writers. She considers each and every manuscript deposited into her acquisitions box a potential means of ministry. Regardless of the stage within which a particular piece presents itself, the author’s voice resounds, unique in timbre and impact. Rowena’s goal is to listen for that voice, fine-tune it, and then reverberate it to a world desperate to hear it.

She is the managing editor for Brimstone Fiction, LPC’s speculative imprint, acquisitions editor for general fiction, and development executive producer for LPC Media Group, LPC’s production division.

Lighthouse of the Carolina's is an ACFW-approved, royalty-paying traditional publisher. Our authors include Christy Award winners and writers who have found their first home with us.

LPC is especially seeking speculative fiction in fantasy, science fiction, or horror that is not preachy and has a compelling story. And although focusing on fiction, Rowena will also consider non-fiction submissions. Writer's Guidelines
